Last couple of weeks...First time to meet Grandma Beba and visit with KK & Pop

Well this weekend, we decided to make a quick trip to Waco (a halfway point from here to San Angelo) so Sloan could meet her other great Grandmother.  She is very lucky to have one set of her great-grandparents local (along with two of her three sets of grandparents), but it was way overdue to meet 'Beba.'  We were able to arrange one of Beba's good friends to drive her to Waco to my mom's house.  We all drove in on Saturday morning and spent the day doing our late Christmas and just enjoying everyone's company.   We stayed up late playing games, much to Tim's despise ;).  However, he did find a liking to Rummicube...a game in which I held the championship to until he beat me!  We also played Beba's favorite game...Hand & Foot.  I am not sure if anyone has ever played this, but whew this one is a doozy!  Although Beba pretty much 'hogged' my Sloaner all day (haha), I am so glad they finally got to meet.  Beba fell in love instantly and was very very sad when she had to say goodbye on Sunday morning.  We are going to try hard to meet in Waco every few months so Sloan can see her Beba every once in a while.  Here are a few pics from our quick trip.

A couple of weeks ago, KK & Pop went to the Rockets game and stopped by for a quick visit so I was able to snap a few pics...

This one is one of my faves!  My two beautiful girls playing together!!

It's a New Year!

Well I can't believe it, but 2011 is here!  I remember ringing in Y2K at my good friend Cassie's house 11 years ago!  Where does time go?  This year's celebration was a little different to say the least, since we have little Sloaner with us.  All of our friends were pretty much doing the same thing...either hanging out with their own kids, being preggo, or were out of town. It was nice because we had Friday off, so it gave us a little more time to wind down from the holidays.  Thursday night we went to the new Lupe Tortilla by our house with Tim's parents and Troy...I always love me some mexican food!  Then Friday we tried out The Counter, a new burger place on Washington and took Sloan 'Krogering' for the first time...she loved it! Now, with Christmas decorations down, 2010 in the rear-view mirror, new resolutions made, I can only hope for another amazing year to come!  Goodbye 2010, hello 2011!

This makes me laugh...I had to post!

Cahill Christmas

So I finally caved and entered the blogging world.  After many hours, I finally settled on a layout.  I am the most indecisive person ever!

So Christmas 2010 was amazing...it was full of family, fun, and presents galore especially with our new addition, little princess Sloan.  We started out on the weekend of the 18th with the Breda side.  We had a great time doing our stockings, white elephant exchange, and the new Cahill Christmas trivia game Tim and I brought.  During the festivities, Jared got a package of white headbands as an inside joke and we all decided we should wear them.  The pictures ended up being funny and cute!
Christmas weekend came shortly after and unfortunately I got sick for the second time in the past two weeks...uuggh!  Our family can't kick this cold/sore throat/runny nose thing.  First stop was my dads to celebrate with my grandparents.  Sloan got a wagon and boy did she like riding around with her big sis, Marry.  It was a great night talking and laughing with everyone.  The next morning we headed to the Cahills.  We opened presents all day...it was so fun to see Sloan crawling around and trying to eat all the wrapping paper.  And for the second year in a row, I got to see two of my favorite peeps...Dow and Matt!!  Before we knew it, it was time for the Annual Christmas party...it's always fun hanging out with good friends.  What a great weekend.  The only thing missing was seeing my mom's side of the family.  We were there on Thanksgiving, so we are planning to meet soon to do our Christmas.

It's weekends like these that remind us how lucky we are to have such amazing friends and faimilies.  We are truly blessed to be surrounded by such loving people.  Thank you everyone who helped make our first Christmas with Sloan so special!
