Pictures, Mother's Day, and friends!

The time is here - my sweet girl is turning one!!  We headed to Montgomery to take Sloan's one-year pictures and oh my, the pics turned out amazing!  We had so much fun watching Sloan smash into her cup cake!  Here are some of the pics from the session.

This Mother's Day meant so much to me because it was my first!  And let me say, I don't know how Sloan and Tim are going to top this one because it was absolutely perfect and so special.  It started off with the sweetest cards, one from Sloan and one from Tim.  Of course, I cried when I read them.  I am so blessed to have the best husband and daughter in the world!!  After Tim went and got us donut holes :) we watched a movie...one of my favorite things to do!  For dinner, we went and spent the evening at the Todd's house.  Diddy fired up the grill and cooked some fabulous steaks and Sarah made delish potatoes.

This past weekend we went and met with the builder and afterwards went to see some of our best friends...The Whitakers.  Needless to say Lucas and Sloan are becoming much closer buds!!

 Sloan going for the cup!

I am so excited that Sloan's birthday is almost here.  I have been working so hard to get things ready.  You don't realize how much stress comes along with planning a 1-year old birthday party until you plan one yourself.  This weekend I got a lot done, so hopefully I won't be up all night the night before...pics soon to come :)

Happy Easter

Well 2011 Easter was great!  We started out the weekend by heading to the hospital to see the newest addition to the Southall family. Congratulations Matt and Diane!! Luke William Southall was born Thursday night and boy is he adorable!  He is Sloan's newest boyfriend and soon to be day-time buddy.  Jackson will be leaving in June :( but Luke will be stepping in to fill his shoes.

Friday evening we headed to the lake to see Heather, Ann Marie and Denny.  However, when we got there we were pleasantly surprised to see Dow!  Sloan was so happy to see her Aunt Heather and Uncle Dow.  For the most part, we relaxed, ate great food, but the best part was Sloan got to go on her first boat ride!  Boy did she love the water...not like she had much choice since her parents love the lake :)

Sunday morning we met my Dad and Kelly at church in The Woodlands.  We attempted to be 'those people' who bring their kids into church because we knew Sloan would be good.  However, as the preacher was going through the proper etiquette of church...turn your cell phones off, if your child starts being noisy take them outside...Sloan starts talking...LOUDLY lol!  So needless to say we ended up in the Family Viewing Room.  After church, we met my sister and grandparents at Guadalajara in the Woodlands...yum! I am already looking forward to next Easter when Sloan can go on an Easter Egg Hunt :)  I wish we could have seen my mom and her side of the family too though!  Happy Easter everyone!!

Walking in Orlando

Well, we just got back from Orlando with the family...all 13 of us!  We were there for 7 days, so it was long break from the 'real world.'  Tim and I were very nervous before leaving because we had gone to the doctor twice that week because Sloan had been running fever for 7 days.  Come to find out, she had an ear infection and sinus infection...not things you want to have before going on an airplane.  However, she was a TROOPER!  She did not even make a peep either way on the flights.  While we were there, Sloan took some more steps (12 at one time to be exact), went to Disney World, went swimming, rode on a paddle boat, stayed up REAL late :), and was held pretty much 24-7.  Here are some pics and a video from the vacay!!

The Cahills are moving!

So it is official...burbs here we come!  Tim and I decided it was time to move from the city to a more family oriented area - Augusta Pines!  We have been eyeing this lot for a while, but just recently sat down with the builder and signed to start of drawing/construction process.  We are hoping to break ground in early May which will put us with a tenative close date of the end of November-ish.  We have some of our best friends in Augusta Pines and the subdivision is closer to both of our parents.  We are in the process of getting our townhouse up for sale...so if any of you know people who are looking to move to the Cottage Grove area, send them our way :)  The following week that we signed, Tim and I ate chinese food the same day for lunch, but not with each other.  We called each other to tell our forutnes and I just had to put this pic in this post!

So much going on!

Well, this has been the longest time I have gone without updating our blog.  The Cahill Crew has been very busy over the last few months.  Sloan had her first Valentines Day and boy was she the cutest Valentine ever!  She got tons of hugs and kisses all day long :)  Tim has been out of town, so Sloan, Marry and I have been busy holding down the fort. Tim was in Colorado for the last month, but I was able to make a quick weekend trip to see him while the grandparents watched my two princesses.  I only cried once while being away from my sweet Sloan.  However, we did find ourselves watching video after video of our baby girl.

Speaking of videos, we discovered Sloan likes to hear the white puppy go, ruff ruff and we also found out that she is a genius too...enjoy the videos!  Sloan went to her 9-month doctor appointment...she is 19.8lbs (64%) and is going to be tall...87% for height :)  She must get that from her Pop and Aunt Kelli because Tim and I don't possess the tall genes :)  She also has 6 teeth with a seventh poking its way through.  It is quite a difference when she smiles and you don't only see all gums!

Sloan has been crawling everywhere for a while now and actually took 2 steps last week...though she has yet to repeat :(  I swear she learns something new everyday and gets cuter by the second. She can wave, give hugs and kisses and can talk up a storm in her Sloan language.  Sloan and her best friend Marry are literally two peas in a pod.  Sloan thinks it is hilarious when Marry plays tug-of-war with her.  It has become apparent that they have agreed on some deal to switch toys.  I will find Marry with Sloan's dolls and Sloan with Marry's bones...uuughh those two!!

St. Patrick's Day came and went and Sloan definetely sported her green...she looks great in green!

We are fast approaching Sloan's one year birthday.  I am in complete shock as to how fast time flies.  I have to say Sloan is now a little girl.  Tim and I love her beyond words and don't know how we got to be so lucky to be blessed by this wonderful angel.
