The Holidays flew by!

It is now January 8, 2012 and I am just now able to update my blog.  So lets start with the holidays.  Thanksgiving we loaded up and went to Waco to visit my Mom and Randy.  It was awesome to see everyone.  Cassie, Juan, Sebastian, Stephen, Chelsea and Kelli were all able to make it in. We had a great time.  My mom had the house set up for the grandkids and boy did they have a ball.  Sebastian and Sloan enjoyed making cookies, painting, and running around like wild indians.  As most of you know, we are in the process of building a house.  Tim and I decided to try a first and do some Black Friday shopping at midnight to see if we could get any good deals.  I now can say I have done it, but will not do it again :). Cassie was able to snap some great pics of the holiday weekend...of course :)

AND MY ABSOLUTE FAV!!

Christmas is my absolute favorite holiday of the year.  Since we were at my moms' for Thanksgiving, we stayed local for Christmas.  We went to my dad's for Christmas Eve and then went to the Cahills on Christmas day.  Christmas Day was amazing.  I LOVED watching my sweet angels' face when she saw what 'Hanta' brought her.  She said, "whoaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.'  Of course, she was spoiled rotten by the family!  The stand-out favorites so far are her car, kitchen, baby and cradle.

From our family to yours, we hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!!

Hello from Grandma & Grandpa's house

Happy Football Sunday!

Tim, Sloan, Marry, and I have now reached our 2 month anniversary of living with Grandma and Grandpa Cahill in Kingwood.  We have done so much while being here...I can't believe how fast the time is going.  Our house is really coming along.  We are hoping to have sheetrock up by next week :)

Sloan being silly

Friday night we all loaded up to check on the progress of the house.  Although, we still can't see much structurally going on, there are wires galore being put up.  We went to our usual 'after looking at the house place' Guadalajara and to our surprise ran into my dad and Kelly.  It was their anniversary and they were on their way to Kemah to celebrate.  So we had a great dinner with the Cahills and the Bredas :)

Saturday was a big day for Sloan because she started her Little Gym classes.  Omg, did she have a ball!  Miss Sherry, her instructor, said she is definetly the social butterfly of the class...and might I add, the tallest too!!  She will go every Saturday for 45 minutes.  She gets to play with balls, bean bags, shakers and of course do gymnastics.  The first lesson of the class was how to do forward rolls.  I must say she is really GOOD at them!  Tim and I both went in the class with her and Grandma and Grandpa were able to catch a few pics.

Being the HUGE Texans fans that our family is, Grandma Cahill surprised Sloan and I with matching Texans gear.  We are hoping our extra support will pull the Texans to a playoff season!!

Settling in with the Cahills

Well, it happened!  We are no longer Kansas St. residents.  We sold our house in about 5 weeks, much sooner than we anticipated.  However, we are so grateful to sell our house in this market!  We moved out on July 25th, maids came on the 26th and we closed on the 27th.  The couple who ended up buying our place was very nice and super excited about moving in.  I must say though, it was bitter sweet for me.  Tim and I got married and had Sloan while we lived in that house.  And, it must be noted that we had the best neighbors we could ask for!! Adam and E you can't be replaced.  We must stick to our deal that you guys have to come to Augusta Pines every Sunday for football.  We now temporarily reside in Kingwood with Tim's parents.  They were very sweet to let us move in with them while our new home is being built.  We are all settled in now after a couple of weeks. We have been going on golf cart rides, going to the pool, and just relaxing.  We are looking forward to the months to come with our new room mates :)

Here is a pic from the BIG move!

Sloan's First Birthday

This is serioulsy the longest time since I have updated our blog...so sorry!  The most important event that has happened since last post is our little princess turned one.  Even with it being a month and a half past the party, I still get teary-eyed thinking about Sweet Sloan's big day.  How has my sweet baby grown up so fast???  Her birthday was a cupcake party celebrated at our house with our close family and friends.  Sloan ran around all day in-between opening presents, eating cake, and playing with all the balloons from the balloon artist.  Here are some pics from her fun-filled day!

Pictures, Mother's Day, and friends!

The time is here - my sweet girl is turning one!!  We headed to Montgomery to take Sloan's one-year pictures and oh my, the pics turned out amazing!  We had so much fun watching Sloan smash into her cup cake!  Here are some of the pics from the session.

This Mother's Day meant so much to me because it was my first!  And let me say, I don't know how Sloan and Tim are going to top this one because it was absolutely perfect and so special.  It started off with the sweetest cards, one from Sloan and one from Tim.  Of course, I cried when I read them.  I am so blessed to have the best husband and daughter in the world!!  After Tim went and got us donut holes :) we watched a movie...one of my favorite things to do!  For dinner, we went and spent the evening at the Todd's house.  Diddy fired up the grill and cooked some fabulous steaks and Sarah made delish potatoes.

This past weekend we went and met with the builder and afterwards went to see some of our best friends...The Whitakers.  Needless to say Lucas and Sloan are becoming much closer buds!!

 Sloan going for the cup!

I am so excited that Sloan's birthday is almost here.  I have been working so hard to get things ready.  You don't realize how much stress comes along with planning a 1-year old birthday party until you plan one yourself.  This weekend I got a lot done, so hopefully I won't be up all night the night before...pics soon to come :)

Happy Easter

Well 2011 Easter was great!  We started out the weekend by heading to the hospital to see the newest addition to the Southall family. Congratulations Matt and Diane!! Luke William Southall was born Thursday night and boy is he adorable!  He is Sloan's newest boyfriend and soon to be day-time buddy.  Jackson will be leaving in June :( but Luke will be stepping in to fill his shoes.

Friday evening we headed to the lake to see Heather, Ann Marie and Denny.  However, when we got there we were pleasantly surprised to see Dow!  Sloan was so happy to see her Aunt Heather and Uncle Dow.  For the most part, we relaxed, ate great food, but the best part was Sloan got to go on her first boat ride!  Boy did she love the water...not like she had much choice since her parents love the lake :)

Sunday morning we met my Dad and Kelly at church in The Woodlands.  We attempted to be 'those people' who bring their kids into church because we knew Sloan would be good.  However, as the preacher was going through the proper etiquette of church...turn your cell phones off, if your child starts being noisy take them outside...Sloan starts talking...LOUDLY lol!  So needless to say we ended up in the Family Viewing Room.  After church, we met my sister and grandparents at Guadalajara in the Woodlands...yum! I am already looking forward to next Easter when Sloan can go on an Easter Egg Hunt :)  I wish we could have seen my mom and her side of the family too though!  Happy Easter everyone!!
